Windows users have complained about a personal data deletion update. The system update was deployed on February 11, the Windows Latest portal reports.
User messages on Microsoft forums and social networks say that after updating KB4532693, all data disappeared from the computer’s drive. In the cases described by the journalists, the owners of the copies of Windows 10 could not recover their files.
Some users said that KB4532693 files were automatically installed even for those who turned off the update feature and blocked Microsoft IP addresses. In the event of the files disappearing, the publication recommends that you manually remove the problematic update, but in some cases it cannot be done or the removal provokes new errors. “After removing KB4532693, my laptop cannot boot,” one user said.
In mid-February, Microsoft released update KB4532693, which was supposed to fix the "blue screen of death." However, users noticed that the errors were not fixed, and in some cases their number increased.
In early February, complaints about the current update of Windows 10 began to appear on thematic forums. Licensed copy owners reported that after the KB4532695 update, BSoD errors, known as the “blue screen of death”, became more frequent on computers. Also, users complained about a decrease in the speed of downloading files from the Internet and mute.
