Microsoft has released a single Office application for Android

Microsoft Office applications have long been present on mobile devices, but so far users have had to download and install Word, Excel and PowerPoint separately from the Google Play Store and Apple App Store. If you need not a complete package, but only a specific application, this approach seems more preferable. But in other cases, this concept is rather inconvenient, especially because you have to download, install and update more than one application.
Microsoft, obviously, heeded the wishes and recently published an updated version of the Office suite, which includes all three applications previously offered separately. The Microsoft Office application is currently only offered to Android users, but Microsoft is likely to introduce it on the iPhone in the coming weeks.
There has not yet been an official announcement, but in any case, the description on the Play Store underlines the purpose of this publication: “The Office application combines the Word, Excel and PowerPoint programs that you know and rely on with new features that take advantage of the phone’s unique advantages to create more a simple but powerful Office application. Regardless of whether you use it for personal or professional purposes, the Office application is designed to perform work on a mobile device. ”
Technically, the Office application, combining office programs, is also useful to Microsoft in partnerships with various device manufacturers. For example, Samsung pre-installs Microsoft Office applications on its Galaxy S smartphones.
